Why This App Exists

Prayer should not be squeezed into the margins.

It should lead the day.

Through Jesus, you have direct access to God... the Father, the creator of the universe. Why not be purposeful about spending time with Him?

This application was born out of a personal desire to live that rhythm... to pray first... not as sentiment, but as structure.

Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. He rose early (Mark 1:35). He prayed all night before choosing the twelve (Luke 6:12). He sought the Father before the cross (Matthew 26:36–44). Prayer was not His reaction. It was His beginning.

If the Son of God began there... should we not?

One of the strong influences behind this vision was the book Lead With Prayer by Ryan Skoog, Peter Greer, and Cameron Doolittle. Their work highlights how leaders who intentionally center prayer reshape not only decisions, but culture itself. PrayerMap extends that conviction into daily life... giving believers a practical way to structure prayer, prioritize people and needs, and remain faithful over time.

🙏
ACTS Guided Prayer Sessions

Every session opens with the proven ACTS framework... Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, then Supplication. PrayerMap guides you through each phase with a reflection prompt and a rotating scripture verse in your preferred translation, so your prayer time is always balanced and complete. Prefer to go straight to your list? Toggle ACTS off in your profile in one tap.

📚
A Library of 224 Prayers, Ready to Use

Not sure what to pray for your son, your pastor, your city, or a friend in the hardest season of their life? The suggestion library holds 7 categories, 34 topics, and 224 individual prayer points, and every one of the 224 carries the full scripture text with it. Pick a topic, uncheck anything that is not yours to pray, and tap once. An empty account becomes a full, scripture-anchored prayer list in about ninety seconds. You can also borrow just the verses: on any prayer item, tap Browse suggestions to pull scripture from a single prayer point into what you have already written. Verses append rather than replace, so you can stack them.

Built on the prayer map framework from Lead With Prayer and long-standing Christian prayer traditions.

📋
Organized Prayer Lists

Group your prayers into subjects (Family, Work, Church, Missions) and add as many specific items as you need. Tell PrayerMap who a subject is... a man, a woman, a married couple, or a group... and the app speaks about them correctly, including praying Paul's prayers over a husband and wife together with the right plural pronouns. Priority weights keep the most critical items rotating more frequently. Sessions shuffle your list by default so each prayer time feels led and fresh... or switch to priority order in your profile if you prefer consistency.

📅
Smart Scheduling Engine

Set your timeframe (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly) and PrayerMap automatically distributes your prayer items across your available sessions. No manual planning needed.

Session Completion Tracking

Mark individual prayers as complete each session. Grace day support means missing a day doesn't derail your schedule. Your progress is always visible on the dashboard.

Answered Prayer Log

Mark a prayer answered from the edit form or straight from a live session, and write down how God moved. Back-date the answer to the day it actually happened so your history stays true. The item leaves your schedule on its own... no cleanup needed... and PrayerMap invites you to add a follow-up prayer, because a surgery answered becomes recovery prayed for, and recovery answered becomes full restoration. The story keeps going instead of just closing.

🕊️
Look Back and See What God Has Done

The Reports page is not a productivity scoreboard. It is a place to remember. A Journey Overview charts your whole history at a glance, an ACTS breakdown shows how your prayer time has been balanced across adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication, and a daily view lets you tap any single day to open what you prayed that day. Your full answered prayer history sits alongside it, in order, with the notes you wrote when it happened. Seasons you would have forgotten turn out to be recorded.

📖
13 Bible Translations, Everywhere in the App

Choose your translation once in your profile and every verse in PrayerMap renders in it... the suggestion library, your own key scriptures, the ACTS session verses, and the Pray Like Paul prayers. Available now: AMP, CJB, ESV, KJV, MSG, NASB, NASB95, NET, NIV, NIV84, NKJV, NLT, and RSV. Pray in the words you already know by heart.

🔒
Privacy-First by Design

Your prayers are yours alone. In team accounts, administrators see only aggregate counts... never the content of individual prayer items. No exceptions. No backdoors.

👥
Team & Ministry Accounts

Invite your team, small group, or church staff. Each member manages their own prayer life independently under one shared account... with no visibility into each other's content. On Ministry plans and above, the account admin gets a team management panel to invite, activate, and deactivate members, see where each person sits against plan limits, and open an aggregate analytics dashboard showing how the team is engaging... never what anyone is praying.

📖
Scripture-Anchored Prayer

Every prayer item carries full verse text right alongside the request. Pull verses from the suggestion library or paste your own. Key scriptures display in full during each prayer session... grounding your intercession in God's Word rather than leaving you to remember where the promise was.

📜
Pray Like Paul

During any prayer session, tap Pray Like Paul on any prayer card to receive a Scripture prayer from Paul's letters over that person. Paul prayed for eternal things... wisdom, the knowledge of God's love, the strengthening of the inner person. Real verse text in your preferred translation, personalized with their name.

🎨
Personas... Your App, Your Style

Choose from a collection of hand-crafted personas to give your workspace a look that fits your personality. From bold black denim to garden botanical... each persona transforms the colors, textures, and character of your entire app. Your choice is saved and follows you across devices.

💛
Gratitude & Joy Practice

Build a personal library of specific moments when God felt real. A guided 5-minute practice, rooted in Scripture and supported by brain science, trains your heart to return to gratitude on demand. An optional 30-day cycle deepens the practice over time... reshaping joy from an occasional feeling into a durable inner state.

Inspired by the Joy on Demand exercise in The Other Half of Church by Jim Wilder and Michel Hendricks.

🏠
Pray Together... Personally & as a Family

Mark any prayer item as personal, shared with your spouse, or open to the whole family. When you pray together, the right items surface automatically. Each person still manages their own prayer life independently... with full privacy... but the shared context brings you into one accord.

🔔
Gentle Push Notifications

Receive quiet, invitational nudges on your device... a soft reminder that your prayer window is approaching, or a gentle prompt to visit your accountability journal or gratitude practice. Choose exactly which notifications you want, down to the individual session. Messages are drawn from a curated library so every nudge feels fresh... never like an automated ping. Times display in your preferred 12-hour or 24-hour format throughout the app. On an iPhone or iPad, add PrayerMap to your home screen first... Apple only delivers push to installed apps.

📱
Install It On Your Phone

PrayerMap is a progressive web app, so it lives on your home screen like any other app... with no app store, no download, and no update to chase. On iPhone or iPad, open app.prayermap.me in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap Install app. It launches full screen with its own icon, and on Apple devices this is also what switches push notifications on.

From overwhelmed to covered in three steps

Set it up once. Show up each session. PrayerMap handles the rest.

1
Build your prayer list

The fastest way in is the suggestion library... 34 topics, 224 prayer points, every one with scripture already attached. Pick a topic, tap once, and you have a real prayer list in about ninety seconds. Or build it from scratch and add your own items. Import as many as you need.

2
Set your schedule

Choose your timeframe (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and session windows... morning, midday, evening. PrayerMap builds a personalized rotation automatically.

3
Pray, complete, repeat

Open the app each session to see today's assigned prayers. Check them off as you go. Mark answered prayers. Watch your faith history grow.

When you do not know how to pray for a marriage in crisis

A category of the suggestion library written for the season after the discovery... an addiction to pornography, drugs, or alcohol, an affair, a betrayal, or another trauma that has put the marriage itself in question.

Most people in that season are not short on love. They are short on words. You want to pray for your friend, your son, your daughter, the couple in your small group... and every prayer that comes to mind is either too small or too clumsy to say out loud. This category gives you 66 specific prayer points across 7 topics, each one carrying scripture, so you can pray with substance on a day when you cannot find your own words.

The couple is not the same as the two people

Praying for a marriage is a different prayer from praying for a husband and praying for a wife. The marriage needs protection, patience, and time before decisions get made in shock. The two people inside it each need something the other does not. PrayerMap keeps them as separate subjects so you can carry all three honestly.

The one who broke trust and the one who was wounded need opposite prayers

One needs repentance that goes past regret, sobriety, radical honesty, and accountability with teeth in it. The other needs safety, comfort, protection from the lie that any of this was their fault, and permission to grieve before anyone asks them to forgive. Praying the same words over both people serves neither of them.

A Couple in Crisis
The first weeks after discovery, when the shock is heaviest and nothing should be decided in haste.
A Couple Rebuilding
The long restoration work, months and years out, when progress is real but feels invisible.
A Man in Recovery
The husband who broke trust... repentance, purity, sobriety, radical honesty, and real accountability.
A Woman in Recovery
The wife who broke trust, praying the same ground in her own words.
A Betrayed Husband
The wounded husband... comfort, healing, and protection from bitterness and the wish to punish.
A Betrayed Wife
The wounded wife... comfort, safety, dignity, and identity restored in Jesus.
Children Affected by a Marriage Crisis
What the children saw, heard, and are carrying, and the blame that was never theirs.

PrayerMap is not counseling and does not pretend to be. It will not fix a marriage and it promises nothing about how any of this ends. It is a way to pray specifically and faithfully for people you love while the counseling, the recovery group, and the pastoral care happen where they belong. Pastors, biblical counselors, recovery ministry leaders, small group leaders, and friends who simply refuse to stop praying are exactly who this was written for.

If you are leading a class or group, the pattern that works is one subject per couple, plus a separate subject for whichever individual you are best placed to carry. Put the same word in the Category field on each one, something like Recovery Class, and they gather together on your prayer list. A husband and wife leading together often split the individuals between their two accounts so each is praying for their own.

A complete approach to prayer

PrayerMap guides you through the full ACTS framework so every session is balanced, intentional, and unhurried.

A

Adoration

Begin with praise... not for what God has done, but for who He is. His holiness, faithfulness, and love deserve the first moments of your prayer time.

“Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.” Psalm 145:3

C

Confession

Invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Bring anything unconfessed into the light and receive the forgiveness and cleansing God freely offers.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

T

Thanksgiving

Name specific things God has done. Thank Him for answered prayers, daily provisions, and the grace you have seen this week. Gratitude opens the heart to hear.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

S

Supplication

After worshipping, confessing, and giving thanks, bring your requests before the Lord. Your personal prayer list is waiting, organized and ready so nothing is forgotten.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

ACTS guidance is on by default for every session. Users who prefer to go straight to their prayer list can turn it off in one tap from their profile.

Annual intentions. Daily reminders. Private by design.

Rooted in John Wesley's band meetings and Patrick Morley's Man in the Mirror framework... a private, annual reflection on the areas of life that matter most.

A 300-Year-Old Idea, Brought Into Your Daily Prayer Life

In 1738, John Wesley organized small groups of 3–5 believers into band meetings... intimate circles of mutual accountability built on James 5:16: "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed." Wesley believed Christians grow in holiness together, not in isolation. His band questions probed temptation, hidden struggles, and the state of the soul with uncommon honesty.

Patrick Morley, author of Man in the Mirror, brought that same conviction into a practical modern framework: be regularly answerable in the key areas of life (God, family, time, money, moral behavior) to people who love you enough to ask the hard questions.

PrayerMap builds on both traditions... not as a group exercise, but as a personal annual covenant with yourself and God, surfaced gently every day through your prayer session.

How It Works in PrayerMap

Set your annual intentions

Each year, record your theme verse, a habit to start or stop, a yearly goal, an area of accountability, and a specific prayer focus. Customize the questions, add up to 10, and mark any as private.

Memorize your verse daily

Your theme verse appears on the Today tab every day. Tap Need a hint? for a progressive word-by-word reveal. When you have it, tap Yes to record your streak, then Confirm to open a typed self-test with word-by-word scoring. Your streak and year count grow alongside your prayer practice.

Daily rotating reflection

Each day, one of your other accountability questions rotates into view on the Today tab... cycling through all of them before repeating. Private answers show only the question; others show your own words back to you.

Self-assessment ratings

Each day, rate any reflection question as Struggling, Growing, or Thriving. Over time PrayerMap weights the rotation so areas where you are struggling surface more often... gently keeping your attention where it is needed most.

PIN-protected privacy

Mark sensitive entries as private. A PIN locks the full Accountability page... a 30-minute session unlock keeps it accessible without constantly re-entering. Past years are always archived and readable.

Paul prayed for things most of us have never thought to ask for

He came from a tradition that knew what it meant to stand before the living God. His prayers did not focus on circumstances... they aimed at the transformation of the whole person.

1

A Foundation Formed by Covenant

Paul grew up as a devout Pharisee... steeped in temple worship, sacrifice, and centuries of the living God meeting His people. He knew this God listened, acted, and kept His promises. When he encountered the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus, that foundation was not discarded... it was fulfilled. That entire weight of covenant relationship is behind every prayer he ever wrote.

2

Praying for What Lasts

Western prayer tends to focus on outcomes... better health, open doors, resolved conflict. Paul prayed for those he loved to be rooted and grounded in love, strengthened with power in the inner person, filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom. Not that things would go well... but that the people he loved would encounter the living God deeply enough to be genuinely changed by Him.

3

Scripture Over the People You Love

During any session, tap Pray Like Paul on any prayer card. PrayerMap draws from a curated pool of intercessory prayers matched to who you are praying for, personalizing the text with their name. A theme filter lets you narrow to a specific focus... Peace, Wisdom, Rescue, Sanctification, and more. Tap Try Another to cycle without repeating. All 52 prayers are available in 13 translations.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.”

Ephesians 1:18–19

Pray Like Paul is built into every prayer session. No setup required... tap the button on any prayer card to begin praying Scripture over the people God has placed in your life.

Common questions, answered plainly

If yours is not here, ask us... we answer every message ourselves.

What is PrayerMap?

PrayerMap is a structured prayer scheduling app for Christians, ministry teams, and churches. It helps you organize prayer items into subjects, set how often each item appears in your prayer sessions, and track every answered prayer.

Is PrayerMap free?

Yes. The Personal plan is free for individuals, with up to 10 prayer subjects and 50 prayer items. Ministry and Church plans start at $7 per month for teams. No credit card is needed to start.

Who is PrayerMap for?

Individual believers building a consistent prayer habit, small group leaders, pastors, ministry teams, churches, nonprofits, and faith-driven businesses. Anyone who takes prayer seriously can use it.

What are prayer suggestion templates?

They are pre-written prayer lists you can import in about ninety seconds. The library holds 7 categories, 34 topics, and 224 individual prayer points, and all 224 carry full scripture text. Pick a topic such as Wife, Son, Pastor, or A Couple Rebuilding, uncheck anything you do not want, and the subject and all its prayer points are created at once. You can also borrow just the verses: tap Browse suggestions on any prayer item to pull scripture from a single prayer point into what you have already written, and verses append rather than replace, so you can stack several.

Can I use PrayerMap to pray for a marriage in crisis?

Yes. The Restoration & Recovery category holds 7 topics and 66 prayer points written for the season after the discovery of an addiction, an affair, a betrayal, or another trauma that has put a marriage in question: A Couple in Crisis, A Couple Rebuilding, A Man in Recovery, A Woman in Recovery, A Betrayed Husband, A Betrayed Wife, and Children Affected by a Marriage Crisis. Praying for the couple is kept separate from praying for the two individuals, and the prayers for the spouse who broke trust are different from the prayers for the spouse who was wounded. PrayerMap is not counseling and does not replace it. It is a way to pray specifically and faithfully for people you love while the counseling happens elsewhere.

Does PrayerMap work with my Bible translation?

PrayerMap supports 13 translations: AMP, CJB, ESV, KJV, MSG, NASB, NASB95, NET, NIV, NIV84, NKJV, NLT, and RSV. Your choice applies everywhere in the app... the suggestion library, your own key scriptures, the ACTS session verses, and the Pray Like Paul prayers. Change it once in your profile and every verse re-renders in the translation you read.

Can I install PrayerMap on my phone?

Yes. PrayerMap is a progressive web app. On an iPhone or iPad, open app.prayermap.me in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap Install app. It opens full screen with its own icon, with no app store and no download. On Apple devices, push notifications only work once PrayerMap has been added to the home screen.

Can my church use PrayerMap as a team?

Yes. The Ministry plan covers up to 15 users and the Church plan covers up to 100 under one shared account. Admins get a team management panel to invite, activate, and deactivate members, see where each person sits against plan limits, and open an aggregate analytics dashboard of engagement. Administrators never see the content of anyone's prayer items. Verified 501(c)(3) nonprofits and churches receive 25% off any paid plan.

Is my prayer data private?

Yes. PrayerMap is privacy-first. Administrators never see your prayer detail text. All data is isolated per user and stored securely, and sensitive accountability entries can be locked behind a PIN.

How does PrayerMap help me pray more consistently?

PrayerMap builds a daily prayer session for you from your prayer items and how often you want each one to come around. You follow the list, mark items as you pray, and the next session builds itself. Grace day support means missing a day does not derail the schedule, and over time you can look back through your history and your answered prayers.

What is the Accountability feature?

An annual, private reflection inspired by John Wesley's band meetings and Patrick Morley's Man in the Mirror framework. Each year you record a theme verse, a habit to start or stop, a yearly goal, an area of accountability, and a prayer focus. Customize the questions and add up to 10, mark any answer private behind a PIN, and receive a daily nudge on your Today tab that rotates through your questions and prompts you to recite your memory verse.
